he second vintage of Joseph Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is a much bigger wine than our inaugural 2003 vintage. John Pina and his men harvested the fruit in late September. This was the first full year of impact Pina Management has had, and what a difference in fruit quality it made! The weather also cooperated. Temperatures were not too hot throughout September, with the highs reaching into the 90s only about half the days. That allowed for longer hang time, a great benefit for us in helping develop balanced and extracted flavors in the fruit. And with our moderate watering program, we had very little raisining.Wine
maker’s notes suggest that "exotic wild berries and fleshy stone
fruits infuse our 2004 Cabernet. This wine is characterized by sweet,
mature tannins, well integrated with notes of creamy and textured
oak". The fruit is bigger, though the alcohol level is only marginally
higher than in the 2003. For more detailed information please download
